Why should I choose you to do my wedding pictures?
Weddings are one of the most important events in a person's life. The moments that a professional photographer captures will be the memories you cherish for years to come. I understand that your wedding day is very special to you and your family. I take great pride and care to create your lasting memories with high quality portraits. I will personally take your wedding photos using professional digital cameras, lenses, lighting equipment as well as a complete backup system to make sure that your entire event is captured. Accompanying me is a highly skilled assistant who helps with lighting, props, and posing. The assistant also takes pictures from different angles or locations (e.g. the balcony or the dressing rooms) so that your event is covered completely. Let Court Photography capture all of your memories while you enjoy your special day with your family and friends.

What is your photographic style?
On average 80% of the photos are journalistic or candid and 20% are traditional. Over the past ten years there has been a move from the stuffy traditional portrait to the modern photojournalistic approach. I find most couples want the photographer to be in the background and not in the way. I work behind the scenes to capture and create all of the moments of your day. However, if you want a special request photo I will be happy to accommodate you as much as possible.

Do you use digital or film?
As a professional photographer I prefer using digital 35mm cameras and equipment. Digital cameras have evolved over the past few years and are now the standard for wedding photography. While the difference between digital and film prints are indistinguishable, the advantages of digital over film are countless.

How many pictures do you take and what do you cover?
I cover the entire event. I start by going to the rehearsal the night before so that I can see how the wedding will unfold. This is where I will meet the wedding party and the Pastor or Minister. I will also find out what is allowed or not allowed during the ceremony (e.g. can I use a flash and am I free to use the balcony?, ect…). On the wedding day I am available for the bride and groom all day including the reception. I shoot between 500 and 800 images so that your event is covered completely.

How many pictures do I get?
The amount of photos will depend on the type of album that you choose, but generally between 7-120. We use only professional albums for an unparalleled look that you will be proud to own. The Renaissance and Art Leather albums are both coffee-table sytel books that are very luxurious. The TAP Premira albums display your photos in a flush mount design. These albums are preferred by brides because they choose the portraits they want and then design the album from their selections. Additional prints can be purchased at a reasonable cost and will match both color and quality of the original prints.

Why do they cost so much?
I have talked with many couples who still regret not paying a professional photographer for their wedding portraits. They spent a lot of time and money to have the perfect wedding. They rented a hall, hired a band, or DJ (sometimes both), had the event catered, and when it came time for their memories they had a relative take their photos. They lacked the experience, creativity, and professional equipment to capture the moments that they deserved. Their prints are usually printed from a local department store or warehouse club. Our portraits are printed using a professional lab, color matched and consistently printed on the highest quality photo paper. All of our portraits are sprayed with a protective finish and come with a lifetime guarantee.
